Services to Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

The Developmental Disabilities program provides assessment and services to disabled persons in Kittson County. The intent of the program is to strengthen the disabled person’s self-reliance and provide community support services while protecting clients from abuse, neglect, or exploitation.


Social Workers provide services which include:

  • Case Management in the areas of Developmental Disability/Related Conditions (autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy) for adults and children

  • Programs for Adults and Children with D & CCB:
  •                       Referrals, Service Needs Assessments
  •                      Interagency Early Childhood Services
  •                      Semi-independent Living Services (SILS)
  •                      Respite Care
  •                      MR/RC Waiver Programs
  •                      Sheltered or Supported Employment
  •                      Day Training and Habilitation (DT & H)
  •                      Transition from school to adult living
  •                      ICF/MR Admissions
  •                      OBRA Nursing Home Screening
  •                      Guardianship
  •                      Family Support Grant (FSG)
