Social Services 

By statute, the Human Services Department is responsible for administering social services, children services, and financial assistance programs under state supervision.

The Department is responsible for providing protective services to vulnerable adults and children, the elderly and disabled to achieve their highest level of independence, for providing child support custodial and non-custodial parents, and for assisting indigent and low-income families and individually meet their needs or to become self-sufficient.
