Minnesota Statute 6.65 requires the Office of the State Auditor to prescribe minimum procedures and scope for auditing the books, records, accounts, and affairs of all political subdivisions in Minnesota. Kittson County, on an annual basis, contracts for the completion of an audit to be completed in accordance with these standards.
